Here is the first global chart of Spotify Tracks based on Tweets.

How does it work?

Share your favourite track, album, artist or playlist on Twitter. Your tweet MUST contain the term 'spotify' and a link, you can use Spotify itself, it is very easy:
How to Share with Spotify

SpotiChart.com checks the Twitter public line very regularly for tweets with a spotify link. One Tweet, One vote!

We are able to handle URLs like 'http://open.spotify.com/...', URIs like 'spotify:track:xxx' (or album/artist/playlist) and also the spotibot.com format. Furthermore, we will check ANY shortened URLs to a Spotify item (like bit.ly, j.mp, tinyurl.com, is.gd, ff.im, etc).
So, as long as your tweet contains 'spotify' we will pick it up!

On reception of such a tweet, SpotiChart.com then contacts Spotify to get the details of the item.

Each track, album, artist or playlist is then taken account (but do not tweet many times the same items as duplicate tweets within a certain time period will NOT be included... So, do not try to fudge the results.

The results are compiled regularly and SpotityChart.info will publish regular entries on Twitter.
